Some of you may remember this past year that I made a PowerPoint program for Who Wants to be a Millionaire--in fact, a few of you out there were contestants...whether you did fairly well or failed (make that "phailed") epically.
Well, I thought it looked pretty good. It's definitely (read: monumentally) better than some guys' Millionaire PowerPoints out there, but it could still use some work.
I began revamping it yesterday and thought I'd share some of the changes I've made so far, and what I plan to include. Hopefully I can put it up on a website for you guys to download eventually.
WHAT'S ALREADY INCLUDED:
--New, shorter opening sequence, featuring monochromatic dollar figures (the multicolored ones on the old one were too hard to read, sometimes).
--Some background colors are different.
--New money tree graphics.
WHAT'S TO COME:
--Actual lifeline results (so I don't have to do a 50:50 myself, for example)
--Better "lightdown" sequence. I think I'll make the "correct" cue and the lightdown cue on the same slide, and just make the background color change as soon as the music starts. (That was one gripe I had with the old one; sometimes, the background would change before the music even played.)
--I will hopefully be able to link to a certain question on the money tree, in case we needed to pick up where we left off. Or, I might even make that the LIFELINES slide I had in the first version, so as to make it easier on me and not say "which slide # was the $64,000 question again?"
--Think music icon will be in a more accessible place in case it goes dead in the middle of the question, so I can click it and start it up again.
--Let's not make the question hexagon so big, now, shall we?
--Better animation sequences, particularly for displaying correct answers and answer choices.
If you were a contestant and would like to suggest anything from a technical standpoint, feel free.
