USC or UCLA theater programs... USC private and expensive... UCLA... after one year of residency you pay the resident rates for so... way cheaper then Emerson or NYU... But you can work on commercial acting in NY as well. First and foremost... get your degree... if you can pursue both at the same time... then do it. Most actors either make it because they have friends in the industry or they are unique and make it while they still look 16 to 20 years old. So try to do both... or take one year to pursue it with a set goal (make $50,000 in that year as an actor), if it doesn't happen, then into College.
